HandsOn Texarkana, The New Volunteer Center, offers volunteer opportunities in the community and refers prospective volunteers to appropriate agencies and volunteer groups. Runnin WJ Ranch, is a Christian-based non-profit organization, looking for caring individuals (14 years and older) to donate their time to help children and adults who are challenged. We are in need of horse leaders, side walkers and ranch maintenance assistance. To obtain a volunteer application, please call 903-838-3223 or visit us at www.runninwjranch.org to learn about our progrm and how you can help in many ways. Mandatory Volunteer Training sessions will be from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Aug. 26 or 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 28, and classes will begin Sept. 18.

 

Salvation Army needs volunteers to help sort, hang and price donated clothing at the Family Thrift Store. Volunteers are also needed to greet customers, straighten the sales floor and put out merchandise 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
