Texas side to test tornado sirens today

TTFD warns residents not to be alarmed

Texarkana, Texas, Fire Department will test the city's tornado sirens between noon and 1 p.m. today.

This morning on its Facebook page, the department announced the sirens may sound multiple times during the hour and warned residents not to be alarmed.

The sirens are at the following locations:

  • U.S. Highway 59 and Leopard Drive
  • Allen Lane and South Lake Drive
  • Fifth Street and Lelia Street
  • 26th Street and Texas Boulevard
  • 16th Street and Peach Street
  • Jarvis Parkway near Wake Village exit
  • Spring Lake Park near splash pad
  • Mall Drive and Lovett
  • Pleasant Grove Road and St. Michael's Drive
  • Kings Highway and Myrtle Springs Road
  • Pleasant Grove Road and Richmond Road
  • Pleasant Grove Middle School
  • Dogwood Lake Drive and Summerhill Road
