Texarkana, Ark., city officials met Thursday to discuss their upcoming trip to Washington, D.C., for a National League of Cities Congressional City Conference. The conference will be Saturday through Wednesday. Mayor Horace Shipp said its important to meet with legislators, namely U.S. Rep. Mike Ross, D-Ark., and Sens. Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor, both D-Ark. ‘We need to make the best use of our time’ he said.
