Alpha Phi Alpha, the oldest African-American fraternity, inducted seven local men into their Society of Distinguished Gentlemen at their fourth annual gala held Saturday night at the Knights of Columbus hall in Texarkana. ‘Our distinguished gentlemen do not have to have highbrow jobs a plumber or carpenter can be recognized’ said Robert Jones, who led the program.
