DE QUEEN, Ark. A Gillham, Ark., man was killed Wednesday night in a single-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 71. Thomas H. Willyard, 79, was southbound about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in a 1997 Ford Ranger when he failed to negotiate a curve about four miles north of De Queen, according to an Arkansas State Police fatality report. Willyard apparently lost control of the vehicle and overturned several times, the report stated. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident was investigated by Arkansas State Police Cpl. Roger Whitmore.
