Collon A. Mitchell, a former member of the Texarkana College Board of Trustees, died Monday in Houston after a long battle with cancer. He was 88. ‘He was just a super guy’ said Frank Coleman, Texarkana College president. ‘He strived to raise the bar for Texarkana College and higher education. Mitchell served as a TC trustee for 34 years, beginning in 1970 through 2004.
