The annual Walk for Life was canceled because of lightning risks Saturday at Spring Lake Park. ‘We have dedicated walkers, but in our eight years this is the first one weve had to cancel’ said Jan Tramell, facility coordinator for the walk. Walkers who did not take their chances with the weather can take their walk forms by the First Choice Pregnancy center where T-shirts are available. Other cancellations Saturday included the Gator-Egg Hunt hosted by the City of Texarkana, Texas, Parks and Recreation Department along with Texarkana Radio.
