In celebration of Holy Week, Williams Memorial United Methodist Church will host The Jesus Painter, Mike Lewis, at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Lewis ministry of painting large portraits of Christ at Christian events began in 1998, after a close friend who was a songwriter asked him to paint a picture of Christ during the song, ‘Intimate Portrait. Although his friends request seemed impossible, Lewis said he felt challenged by God to do it.
