Congressman goes face-to-face with residents

Holmes described herself as a ‘war bride and moved to Texarkana, Ark., in 1945.
U.S. Rep. Mike Ross, D-Ark., came back home from Washington, D.C., and took notes as he went face-to-face Monday with residents in the Miller County Courthouse. For the people who talked to Ross, it was an hour of discussing real issues, not a time to complain about presidential politics. People talked about needing help with the federal government, from military benefits and Social Security to other federal programs. Ross is touring counties, stopping in courthouses to listen to people ask questions about the federal government and veterans affairs.
