The pets of the week are Sam, a male lab-mix about 10 months old, and Lily, a 7-month-old female gray and white cat with a tan face. Texarkana Animal Shelter has about 68 dogs and 31 cats for adoption, said shelter director David Warrick. The animal shelter had 71 animals adopted in the past week. There will be puppies, cats and kittens from the animal shelter for adoption from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at PetSmart.
