Speeds reach 120-mph in chase near Ashdown

Arkansas State Police Cpl. Jamie Gravier knew he was about to get involved in a chase and set his odometer according to state police policy. He traveled 29.7 miles in 20 minutes with speeds in excess of 120 mph from near Lake Millwood in Little River County to south of Interstate 30 near Fulton in Hempstead County. No one was hurt in the pursuit, but damage was reported to the troopers vehicle and the 1998 Plymouth Breeze he pursued. Jesus Balbuena, 28, of El Dorado, Ark., remained in the Little River County Jail Monday pending charges.
