To prepare for the victorious celebration of Easter, Texarkana churches will participate in traditional observances of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. The annual Good Friday service of downtown churches will begin with a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 400 E. Sixth St. The meal is for a $3 donation. The service will begin at 12:10 p.m. Speaker for the noon event will the Rev. Diane Brown of First Presbyterian Church, and music will be under direction of Larry De Dymott, director of music at First United Methodist, Arkansas.
