Public hearings on Texas House Bills 1681, 2187 and 2470 were taken off the agenda for Wednesdays House Natural Resources Committee meeting in Austin and will be rescheduled for another date that has not been set. HBs 1681 and 2187 deal with designating a number of reservoirs sites across the state, including the proposed Marvin Nichols Reservoir, as unique sites. The bills and others like them have come under intense scrutiny by opponents of the reservoir.
