The Texarkana Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure has awarded more than $287,000 in grants to several local organizations to provide breast cancer screening and education. ‘These programs offer breast health education as well as free mammograms for uninsured and underinsured women’ said Sharon Sheppard, Komen Board of Directors president.
