A series of education bills passed the Arkansas Legislature and were signed into law by Gov. Mike Beebe during the legislative session that ended Tuesday. An estimated $456 million of the states surplus of $919 million dollars went to school facility repair, a move designed to bring the struggling academic school conditions above the state supreme courts ruling in the Lakeview case. The legislature also passed a bill allowing Beebe to call a statewide bond election asking voters for $750 million in school facility improvements. Rep.
