Off-duty Texarkana, Texas, police officers will gather signatures at area businesses Saturday from the public in support of Capt. Joe Bunting. TTPD officers will be at Central Mall and at CiCis Pizza on Richmond Road, according to officers with the department. Members of the police department plan to present the signatures to the City Council at Mondays meeting. City Manager George Shackelford appointed Capt. Joe Bunting as police chief in March.
