The District Court of the City of Texarkana, Ark., has extended its amnesty program for failure to appear and/or contempt warrants through April 30. The program has been successful and probation has reported about $30,000 in fines collected. About 100 people have turned themselves in on old fines of failure to appear or contempt. This program applies only to those who currently have arrest warrants through the court. Business pertaining to amnesty requests will be handled during the regular hours of 8 a.m to 5 p.m only.
