A Katrina victim who has been in the custody of Bowie County authorities for 13 months got a new attorney Thursday because the one she had hasnt been showing up for her in court. But the new attorney didnt have much work to do. Traci Hurel, 22, pleaded guilty to an assault charge after meeting with attorney Darren Anderson at the Bi-State Justice Building jail, even though her victim wanted to drop the charges. Hurels original attorney, David Lashford, did not make the proceedings. ‘I havent heard from him in five months’ Hurel said.
