The month of April is recognized nationally as Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month. But much like other Texarkana and Northeast Texas child advocacy partners, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), cant sit idly by the remainder of the year to carry out the multitude of tasks facing child protection agencies. CASA will symbolize the continuing plight of abused and neglected children in a Light of Hope candlelighting ceremony at 7:30 p.m. today at Cinema 218.
