Local home builder Jason Cross, who is alleged to have misused funds he was issued to pay subcontractors and purchase construction materials, has filed for Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Home owners who have claims against Cross are not named as creditors in the court documents pertaining to the bankruptcy. Since they are not named, Cross liability to them is not affected by the bankruptcy, says Bruce Condit, a lawyer with the law firm Condit, Peek, and Young.
