Dr. Doug Marks will present ‘Lessons from the Potter at 5 p.m. Sunday at Victory Christian Fellowship. Marks has been pastor at Pleasant Grove Christian Church for six months. Before accepting the pastorate, he was a professor at Ozark Christian College and an academic dean at Dallas Christian College. In the late 1980s, Marks was the protégé of ceramic artist Harding Black. He also studied at the Southwest Regional Art Center in San Antonio. He has presented his pottery programs for about 20 years.
