In a front page article of the April 8 Texarkana Gazette, Rosa Lee Sewell said by signing up for a Medicare Advantage Plan, she lost her regular Medicare coverage. According to Tony Salters of the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services in Dallas, this is not correct. He said those who join programs such as Texarkana Community Care are still in the Medicare program, still have Medicare rights and protections and still have complete Medicare Part A and Part B coverage.
