By Lynn LaRowe Texarkana Gazette LINDEN, Texas A jury was selected Monday in the civil case of a mentally retarded local black man who was assaulted in 2003 and left unconscious in a ditch. ‘Were going to be asking for several million dollars in this case’ Glen Perry, a Longview attorney assisting with Biily Ray Johnsons law suit, told the jury panel. ‘Well be asking you to consider medical bills past and future, as well as pain, mental anguish, and physical impairment.
