Searchers came up empty Tuesday as they scoured Wright Patman Lake for the body of a Texas man who drowned over the weekend. What was supposed to be a leisurely day on the water with family turned deadly Sunday as Dustin Otis, 21 of Hughes Springs died trying to rescue his puppy. Witnesses said Otis was on a boat when the pet, an 8-week-old basset hound named Flash, jumped from the craft, and his owner went in after him. Both drowned.
