Two volunteer divers from Cass County went into Lake Wright Patman Thursday to search for a man who drowned on Sunday. The divers assisted Texas Game Warden Shawn Hervey and Bowie County Sheriff James Prince in the search for drowning victim Dustin Otis, 21, of Hughes Springs, Texas. Witnesses said Otis was on a boat when his 8-week-old basset hound Flash jumped from the craft, and his owner went in after him. Both drowned. Recovery units have been searching for Otis body since that afternoon.
