A suspect who allegedly attempted to rob the Century Bank on New Boston Road early Friday is in police custody after he was found hiding in an abandoned house. The call about an attempted bank robbery in the 1700 block of New Boston Road came in to police about 7:54 a.m. Friday, said Sgt. Shawn Fitzgerald, spokesman for the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department.
