Texarkana Area Veterans Council Inc. and East Memorial Gardens will host their annual Memorial Day service at 2 p.m. May 27 at the cemetery on Highway 67 East, just past Texarkana Regional Airport. The next day, May 28, the Vietnam Veterans Council Inc. and Vietnam Veterans of America Inc., Texarkana Chapter 278, will host their 24th Annual Memorial Day Service at 11:40 a.m. at the Korea/Vietnam War Memorial at West Seventh Street and State Line Avenue.
