Mayors on both sides of Texarkanas state line have proclaimed April a month to honor victims of sexual violence. The domestic violence prevention program based in Texarkana and serving surrounding areas will host a sexual assault awareness workshop from 10 a.m to noon Monday at First Baptist Church, Moores Lane, in the Simmons Room. A survivor of sexual assault will tell her story during the program. The public is invited to attend.
