Arkansas-side city officials throw support behind May 8 bond election
Texarkana, Ark., city officials are speaking out in favor of a 1.7-mill increase to make improvements to Arkansas High School. The millage increase will be decided in a May 8 bond election. ‘The city and the school district cant separate themselves’ said Texarkana, Ark., Mayor Horace Shipp. ‘The city cant rise above the school board and the school board cant rise above the city.
