U.S. Rep. Ralph Hall, R-Texas, is happy about some recently passed bills he said aim to improve Americans competitiveness in areas like math and engineering. Hall said the bills passed out of the Science and Technology Committee, of which he is a ranking member, and then passed the full House with bipartisan support. ‘Everyone is for both of these bills’ he said. The bills are HR 362, known as the 10,000 Teachers, 10 Million Minds Science and Math Scholarship Act, and HR 363, the Sowing the Seeds Through Science and Engineering Research Act.
