Two people were arrested early Friday after allegedly trying to smuggle drugs and other contraband to an inmate at the Bowie County annex. Jeffrey Pasley, 21, and Tommie Getz, 29, both of New Boston, Texas, were arrested on charges of introducing prohibited substances into a correctional facility, said Officer Ed Emilia, spokesman for the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department. Getz was also arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance over 4 grams, Emilia said. Both are being held in the Bi-State jail.
