Hooks Volunteer Fire Department and Eyes of Hooks Citizens will sponsor a community garage sale May 5 at the Hooks Fire Department building. Citizens may rent a space for $20 or items can be donated to be sold by the two organizations. Proceeds will be used to buy commercial Christmas decorations for Hooks Main Street. Girl Scouts of Conifer Council will have a fund-raiser at McAlisters from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 7. The group will receive 10 percent of the sales for the evening.
