The Pleasant Grove Independent School District will have four contested school board races on the May 12 ballot. Candidates for the four seats have a diverse career, educational and family background. Place one is an at-large seat with John Gender competing against Mark Addington, after current board member Lisa Ledwell chose not to file for re-election. ‘Im impressed with their meetings’ said Gender. ‘I wouldnt challenge a current board member because they are doing too much of a good job.
