Texarkana, Texas, police were working a one-car accident late Thursday in Liberty-Eylau. The driver of the vehicle, a woman whose identity was not immediately released, was taken to a local hospital with what appeared to be serious injuries, said police officers at the scene. The accident happened about 7:45 p.m. Thursday on West Wallace Road near Buchanan Road. Police said the vehicle was eastbound on West Wallace when it slid sideways, crossed the median and crashed in a field.

The driver, the vehicles only occupant, was ejected.
