Texarkana, Ark., Housing and Community Development will kick off its annual Swinging into Summer with Music and Art in the Park series with a fishing derby Saturday. The goal of the series is to provide a family-oriented environment during the summer with music, art and community. All events except the kickoff are held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the last Saturday in the month, and will span three different parks.
