Bomb threat reported at Ashdown Wal-Mart, nothing found

The largest retail store in Little River County and Ashdown was evacuated during a bomb threat Monday afternoon after a hand-written note was found in the womens bathroom saying a bomb would explode, officials said. Ashdown Police Patrolman Robert Hendricks received the call of a bomb threat about 3:10 p.m. Monday. The note was found by an employee in the womens restroom saying a bomb would go off in the Ashdown store between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Hendricks contacted the Little River County Sheriffs Department, Arkansas State Police Special Agent Hays McWhirter and other city officers to help sear...
