OMAHA, Texas Texarkana, Ark., Police Department officials want more than $96,000 in federal and state grant money to help stop violence against women and they are looking for some help along the way. During its regular monthly meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday in the First National Bank of Omaha, the Ark-Tex Council of Governments Board of Directors Executive Committee will review a $69,545 grant application submitted by TAPD to the U.S. Justice Departments Victim Justice and Assistance grant office.
