Tests reveal high level of meth

Truck collided with cart, injuring four in 2005; driver pleaded not guilty

High levels of methamphetamine were found in a blood sample taken from a New Boston man whose truck collided with a mule-drawn cart carrying juveniles in 2005, according to blood tests requested by local authorities. Samuel L. McMillon pleaded not guilty Monday in Bowie County District Court. He is scheduled to return to District Judge Leon Pesek’s courtroom for a pre-trial hearing next month. Four of the five youth were injured, as well as one of the mules. The other mule was killed instantly.
