BROKEN BOW, Okla.—The fire chief of the Hochatown Volunteer Fire Department was seriously injured in a weekend ATV accident, according to a report from the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety. James Dowty of Broken Bow was driving a 2005 Polaris ATV eastbound on a county road north of Hochatown when he lost control around a curve and struck an embankment, ejecting him 11 feet, according to the report.
