Maud Methodist Church will hold the Maud Fun Fest and Health Fair July 21 on its grounds, just off U.S. Highway 67. CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System will provide free health screenings, including cholesterol and blood sugar checks and cardiovascular screenings. On the fun side, the Richard Petty NASCAR race car will be there. Kids will be able to enjoy pony rides, face painting and an inflatable jump house. There will be blacksmithing demonstrations and a live-snake safety demonstration. There also will be craft vendors, a bake sale and plant sale.
