DNA samples cause delay in rape trial: Long wait in testing angers judge who says trial has been stalled 3 years
A trial is being delayed again for two of four men accused of rape, much to the displeasure of the presiding judge. “My concern here is solely this: This case is three years old. We have a 12-year-old victim who is now 15, about to be 16, and we still haven’t gone to trial,” said Bowie County District Judge Leon Pesek. Pesek granted a motion in April to have brothers Aaron Johnson and Charles Johnson tried separately from Jabari Jackson and Chris Collins.
