Fatality: Bulldozer accident kills local man

Victim tried to stop moving farm machinery

HOOKS, Texas—A local farmer was crushed to death Tuesday afternoon when he was run over by a bulldozer at the side of County Road 2212 near Farm to Market Road 1398. “He didn’t have to work. That’s his passion. Whatever happened to him, he was doing what he loved to do,” said Bill McDonald, one of the man’s neighbors. John Knosby, 76, of Hooks was pronounced dead at the scene. He was taken from the scene by Bates-Rolf Funeral Home, and funeral arrangements are pending, police said. Knosby and his wife, Twilia Knosby, own John Knosby & Twilia Knosby Farms ...
