HORATIO, Ark.—A 15-year-old Horatio student was walking with his sister to a friend’s house to wait for a school bus when he was hit by a car and died of his injuries Thursday morning.

Glen Dwayne Wilson, 15, of the Central community east of Horatio, was hit by a 2000 Mercury driven by James “Cowboy” Pettigrew, 70, of Central.

The accident was reported at 6:43 a.m. Thursday near Central and Red Bridge roads east of Horatio.

Glen was pronounced dead at 8:10 a.m. at De Queen Medical Center.
