ANNONA, Texas—One man was killed Tuesday when his vehicle crossed the center line of U.S. Highway 82 and was struck head on by a Peterbilt truck.

Jonathan Howard, of Avery, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety fatality report.

His age was not available.

The accident happened at 3:39 p.m. Tuesday as Howard’s 2000 Dodge Neon was eastbound on U.S. 82 near Annona.

According to the DPS report, his vehicle was struck by a westbound 2006 Peterbilt driven by Jimmy McCarlay of Alabama. ...
