A Texarkana, Texas, man died Tuesday night after he was hit by a vehicle on Farm to Market Road 1397 while riding his bicycle. A suspect has been charged in the hit-and-run.

Phillip McDougal, 35, was taken by LifeNet Ambulance to CHRISTUS St. Michael Health Center with head injuries and was pronounced dead hours later. McDougal was self-employed with The McDougal Group, a general contracting company in Texarkana.
