Dr. S. Allen Wilcoxon, son of Mrs. Joe Williamson Sr. of Texarkana, Texas, was named the Paul W. Bryant Professor of Education at the University of Alabama.

He currently works in the Department of Educational Studies in Psychology, Research Methodology and Counseling.

Wilcoxon earned his bachelor’s degree at Ouachita Baptist University and his master’s from Stephen F. Austin State University.

His sister, Shelley W. Gabbie, also lives in Texarkana.
