The Bloomburg Independent School District Board of Directors unanimously approved the payment of a stipend to the acting superintendent and the middle and high school principal during a regular board meeting Monday night.

The stipend of $112 per day will be paid to acting superintendent Brian Stroman until an interim superintendent is hired. The board also promoted Stroman from assistant principal of the kindergarten through 12th grades to the principal of the elementary school.
