Police investigate charge of battery at North Heights Junior High

Arkansas-side police are investigating a complaint of battery of a North Heights Junior High School student by a drama teacher who resigned Tuesday.

But Lt. Doug Avery said ultimately it will be up to the student’s parents to decide if they want to pursue charges.

Drama teacher C. Brad Parker, alleged to have hit a 12-year-old student in the head with a textbook during a game of Truth or Dare last week, resigned Tuesday.
