TAMU-T to host Civil War encampment

The University Historian Club of Texas A&M University-Texarkana is sponsoring a Civil War encampment from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Texarkana College Walking Trail.

The display will feature period-authentic weapons, gear, tents, a cook tent and other items. There will also be soldiers dressed in period-authentic uniforms.

The event is free and open to the public.
