AVERY, Texas—With a court hearing on a proposed landfill on the horizon, the Concerned Citizens of Red River County will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Avery Independent School District Cafeteria.

The civil hearing will take place 9 a.m. Wednesday in the 200th State District Court in Austin before Judge Gisela D. Triana. The hearing will focus on the merits of a permit application to build a proposed landfill near Avery.The CCRRC is opposed the permit being granted.
